Your certificate or document must be less than 6 months old when you submit your visa application to Immigration New Zealand.

You must provide a state-issued police certificate and/or court documentation which discloses the full details of your conviction if you have been convicted of an offence and either of the following applies to your FBI (or approved channeler) police certificate:

  • an acronym has been used and no plain-English description of your conviction is recorded
  • the full sentence you received, including details of any imprisonment or non-custodial sentences, is not recorded.
