ABC prides itself on having a market leading fleet made up of quality, modern equipment that give our customers a competitive edge. Our specialist branch in Silverdale maintains the Heavy Hire and Access fleets for North Auckland and we are currently seeking an Access Technician to join our team.

The successful candidate will be a key member of the maintenance team, ensuring maximum fleet up time through preventative maintenance and repair. The role involves working autonomously on customers sites and back in the branch, ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to and objectives are met.

We are ideally looking for an experienced Access Technician but would consider training a qualified Equipment Technician looking to diversify their skill set and progress into a new, rapidly expanding sector of the industry.

What you'll do:
Repair and maintenance of a wide variety of access gear including scissor lifts, cherry pickers and boom lifts
Provide expert assistance to colleagues and customers both in our branch and on customer sites
Carry out planned maintenance and repairs in branch
Identify and order parts as required
Attend breakdowns/scheduled maintenance on customer sites
Actively promote Heath and Safety in your branch and the wider business
Maintain accurate records of work done, consumables used, etc.

What you need:
A mechanical trade Qualification in Heavy automotive plant and equipment or equivalent qualification is required
Full Class 1 Driver Licence
Having the CBIP1 or EWPA Registered inspector Programme (RIP) qualification would be highly advantageous, but we would support the right candidate to gain this
An understanding of Auto Electrical systems is required and experience in 48V systems would be advantageous
A can-do attitude and a drive to learn/grow your career
Basic computer skills
Ability to effectively communicate technical information

Job Details:
We currently have one permanent full-time position in Auckland (40hrs per week)
Rostered days are Monday - Friday
The pay range is $38ph - $45ph based on qualifications/skills/experience
