ABC is centrally located on the shores of Lake Wakatipu and is the largest hotel in Queenstown with 273 rooms, catering for leisure guests, incentives, and small meetings. We are proud of our diverse workplace with up to 25+ nationalities from all over the world.

The Duty Manager on shift oversees the day-to-day running of the Hotel operation in the absence of the General Manager. Overseeing mainly Front Office, but has the responsibility to oversee all outlets and assist where needed.

Outside office hours, the Hotel Operation is the responsibility of the Duty Manager, morning, evening, or Night Duty Manager. Ensuring that service standards are maintained in these areas, safety of our guests, profitability maximized, and customers' needs met.

Management of the hotel Front Office operation on shift to achieve a reputation as a market leader in individualized customer-focused service in the hotel locality. Effective supervision of all guest arrivals and departures ensuring that room allocations and check-in/check-out processes follow set procedures and are customer-focused. VIP’s and loyalty members are a priority in service and needs. Full utilization of the Front Office system ensuring accuracy in use and a range of accurate reports to meet operational needs are produced. Management of lobby services including car parking and portering, ensuring guest arrivals and departures are as efficient as possible. Act as the liaison person between all Departments with guests and groups to ensure relevant information is passed on correctly to Departments. Dealing appropriately with any guest complaints.

Minimum of 6 months as GSA in Hotels or similar Duty Manager role.
