Pay

$60,000 - $80,000 dependen on experience.

We are looking for a technician to join our team in Tauranga. This vacancy is for a full-time permanent position and is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop existing skills and elevate their career in a science and technology field. We're interested in meeting candidates with varied backgrounds, and we'll be looking to tailor the role to suit the level of experience of the candidate.

In a role with ABC you will be expected to work to a high level of diligence, providing high-quality fieldwork that facilitates high-quality data for our customers.

Duties include:

- Telemetry equipment and sensor assembly, configuration, and deployment in the field
- Monitoring of field instruments, processing of data and reporting
- Troubleshooting and diagnosis of problems with electronic equipment
- Instrument data integration with our software
- Supporting existing projects and customers through periodic field maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure continuity of high-quality service

What You'll Bring:

- A full New Zealand driver's license is required
- Basic electronics skills and knowledge
- Practical experience using various power and hand tools
- Good communication skills and comfort interfacing with various customer representatives on projects
- Desire for ongoing learning and the ability to develop new skills and knowledge independently
- Reasonably competent on a computer, although the focus of this role will be practical fieldwork
- Interest in a job that involves a mix of in-office technical work and getting outdoors to deploy equipment. The role will often take you to remote and interesting locations to carry out fieldwork alongside our other team members.

You will be part of a team but will be required to work independently under the direction of the Team Leader.
