Queenstown's largest hotel, ABC has 273 rooms catering for leisure guests, incentives, and small meetings. ABC is situated in the best location in-town and on Queenstown's lakefront.

This is a critical role to assist the Maintenance team within the Hotel with a focus on protecting and maintaining the owner investment, to ensure safety and comfort of guests during their stay and to allow staff and contractors to effectively and safely carry out their roles of caring for our guests.

Previous maintenance or handy person roles: 6 months or trade background. Able to deal with a variety of tasks and repairs around the hotel and hotel rooms.

Carry out preventive maintenance. Work in day to day operation for maintenance requirements of the hotel, responsibilities are varied and require a range of skills. Involved in aspects of building, equipment, energy consumption, water, contractors, and environmental.

Good written and verbal communication to a high level. Work unsupervised in many instances. Part of a team and a hotel team of 125. Diverse and multi-culture staff where we do our best to make everyone feel welcome.

Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner of receipt and if there are delays promptly advise the Chief Engineer and / or the Manager on Duty. Tools supplied. A meal on shift. 4-day week.

Mainly inside work: the hotel is warm in winter. Proud supporters of Cure Kids and Trees for survival with local primary schools. Uniform washed and laundered. Good social team: snowboard, hiking, etc. Discounts off Food & Beverage and Accommodation in ABC hotels worldwide.
