ABC are a successful engineering, energy and manufacturing business. Our Engineering Division is seeking to employ a Mechanical Draftsperson into our Design team, the position will be based in our Porirua, Wellington site.

If you have the skills and experience to produce quality drawings then we are interested to talk to you. If you enjoy drafting then this role will suit you. Ideally you will have had some NZ work experience.

This role offers an opportunity for a suitable qualified individual with a background in mechanical engineering to grow or extend their career through an opportunity at ABC. We have a wide range of skills, experience and ages throughout the ABC group, and encourage professional development and internal promotion within the company, wherever possible.

A key focus of this role will be to produce drawings, bills of materials and associated documentation ensuring accuracy and detail which is critical. You will likely have the following skills or experience:

- A mechanical degree or Diploma with a minimum of 2 years designing for industrial plant and machinery
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven experience in Inventor, Solidworks and AutoCAD
- Modelling experience
- Communication in English - both verbally and in writing, to a high standard
- Be able to work autonomously on complex models and projects.
