We are in search of a Clinical Practicum Supervisor to join our dynamic, supportive, and passionate team. This is a 0.6FTE permanent opportunity for an experienced MIT to share and utilize their skills. This is an exciting opportunity for motivated and forward-thinking MITs who are dedicated and committed to clinical education.

We offer a versatile work schedule that accommodates individual needs, allowing for a balanced work-life harmony. There is also an opportunity to take on an additional part-time role as a MIT for the remaining portion of the week, subject to negotiation.

You will be responsible for:

The coordination, teaching, delivery, and provision of clinical education and supervision for undergraduate Medical Imaging Technologists based at ABC.
Working collaboratively with the University of Auckland and Unitec/Te Pùkenga to develop and maintain the clinical placement model within Radiology while promoting a positive relationship between the education providers and ABC Radiology.
Teaching, coaching, mentoring, and clinical expertise to MIT students enabling them to achieve their educational goals.
Providing clinical guidance and support to staff MITs in developing skills to assist as student supervisors while role modeling clinical excellence.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

To be successful in this role:

You must be registered with the New Zealand MRT Board and have a current Annual Practicing Certificate to be considered. For more details visit: mrtboard.org.nz
Minimum of 4-5 years post-graduate clinical experience
Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience supervising and teaching student MITs and/or staff (or other relevant experience)
