It’s what drives us to deliver our refreshingly different commitment to supporting the people who make a real difference in enriching the lives of our society’s most vulnerable. That is why we are after a Procurement Sourcing Specialist, on a 1-year Fixed Term Contract based in Auckland. You’ll be part of an inclusive culture where you are passionate about making a difference in people's lives.

About the Role:

This role will suit someone who is in the early years of their procurement journey, is adaptable and a quick learner, and can use their previous healthcare or public sector experience to understand the nuances of running an RFP. Our Procurement Team is growing as we shift our focus towards strategic procurement, prioritising cost savings, innovation, and efficiency enhancements for ABC NZ. In this newly established role, you will play a crucial part in contributing to our procurement strategy, being a key stakeholder to the business, while continuously seeking avenues for further improvement.

Primarily a procurement sourcing role, we seek an individual with a knack for innovative thinking, has the ability to run the RFP process, and is capable of generating swift results in a busy environment. You will drive sourcing activities, market tests, and have a strong customer-centric ethos.

Where You'll Make an Impact:

Execute end-to-end procurement processes, encompassing data gathering, evaluation facilitation, and contracting across all organisational functions.
Develop RFP documentation and oversee RFP evaluations.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ascertain their procurement needs and identify opportunities for enhancing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, adhering to our Procurement Strategy and supplier standards.
Prioritise quality, availability, sustainability, and price considerations in contractual agreements.
Assist the Procurement Manager and Senior Procurement Specialist as necessary.
Promote a culture of transparency and accountability in procurement practices, serving as a role model.

What About You:

2-3 years sourcing experience, preferably in healthcare or public sector.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and understand the business needs.
Great organisational skills, motivated, and able to prioritise.
Ability to listen and communicate well, showing empathy and understanding.
Manage and prioritise multiple sourcing activities simultaneously.
Be flexible and adaptable, with ability to pivot when needed.
Connection to our core customer-centric ABC values where ethics and integrity are necessary.
MS Office Suite – particularly Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.

Extra Reasons to Belong:

This 1-year Fixed Term role is a hybrid role where will be based at our Newmarket, Auckland support office, with a mix of work-from-home and being in the office.
Fully subsidised Southern Cross health insurance to our eligible permanent NZ employees and a discount on insurance cover for eligible family members.
Wellbeing discounts and advice, EAP counselling services, study support, and cultural leave.
Refer-a-friend programme of $750 - $2,000.
Professional Development – in-house and external training and development.
No matter who you are or where you come from, we encourage you to ‘Be You at ABC.’
An accredited employer with Immigration NZ that values its diverse employees.
Fruit, snacks, tea, and coffee.

To express your interest, please submit an online application with your CV and we’ll reach out to chat about how you can progress your career with ABC.
