Lead a multi-year Programme (initial contract until end of 2024) Multi-site core application modernisation programme Drive delivery of all workstreams, and act as conduit to the Exec sponsors. Project Director/Programme Manager leading a large and complex multi-side modernisation programme, from initial business case through delivery.

What our client can offer: Having recently wrapped up a very successful ERP implementation, our client is preparing to embark on the next stage of their technology evolution, upgrading and modernising a core platform that is utilised across multiple New Zealand sites. This Programme will be multi-year, with the Project Director coming in at inception with the creation of the initial Business Case that will underpin the programme.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Programme practitioner to work with an organisation with a solid track record of successful technology programme delivery, and with a culture that is positive, innovative and forward-thinking. The role offers a chance to drive delivery of all workstreams and act as the Programme’s conduit to the Exec sponsors.

This role is based in Christchurch and offers 40 hours per week, on contract, with the flexibility to work from home up to 2 days a week. You will need to be able to travel domestically for up to 3 days a week at a time as required.

What you will do: Coming in at programme inception, you will lead the development of options analysis, recommendations and Business Case documentation. From a Delivery perspective, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of work packages, ensuring delivery is completed on time, scope and quality, ensuring vendors and internal resources are allocated and delivering to expectations, and managing relevant performance issues where appropriate.

You can expect to be a control for project governance activities being adhered to, ensuring relevant gates are adhered to, defining approach and development timeframes and rollout plan. A high profile programme for the organisation, you will be reporting to senior/Exec level stakeholders, and represent a capable and experienced team of Project, Business Analysis and Change Practitioners.

Skills and experience we are looking for: Minimum of 5 years in business analysis and project management. Proficient in enhancing and implementing IT systems and software solutions. Familiarity with ERP Solutions, GIS, Business Intelligence, Microsoft Teams, Jira, and e-services. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to generate innovative ideas and a strong commitment to digital excellence. Demonstrated willingness to go beyond expectations in project delivery. Strong customer service focus. Solutions-focussed mindset.
