That’s why we are seeking Registered Nurses, like you, to join our brand new ABC Gardens Village & Care Home in Whangārei, a 56-bed care home opening in July 2024. You will enrich the lives of our society’s most vulnerable and be part of an inclusive culture where you can make a difference while growing your career.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time opportunity working rotating rostered shifts (AMs/PMs/Nights between Monday to Sunday), offering flexibility to spend time with the people you care about. As a Registered nurse working at ABC, you’ll work closely with the Clinical Manager to develop your clinical and leadership skills and knowledge enabling you to grow. You will be passionate about what you do, provide quality care, and build relationships with the residents and their families. From time to time, you may need to provide occasional support to our nearby ABC Care Home.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide person-centred clinical care for residents in care homes across various levels of care. Lead a team of caregivers to provide the highest quality clinical care. Conduct medication rounds, manage care plans, and maintain accurate paperwork. Stand up and tell us where we can invest more to ensure continuous quality improvement. Demonstrate your understanding of Tikanga Māori to engage and support our whānau.

Skills and Qualifications

You’ll help us make a real difference through your RN experience, personal passion, and empathy. Hold a current APC and NZ Nursing Council Registration. Excellent clinical skills in adult care and ideal aged care experience. Confident communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities. A compassionate nurse who strives for excellence and to make an impact in residents’ lives.

Professional Development – in-house and external training and development. Industry-competitive remuneration and benefits, and internal reward and recognition programmes. No matter who you are or where you come from, we encourage you to ‘Be You at ABC.’ An accredited employer with Immigration NZ that values its diverse employees.
