About the Role

This is a casual Registered Nurse role (as and when required) and we’re seeking an experienced nurse who ideally has experience in aged care. You’ll be able to work morning, afternoon, and night shifts between Monday to Sunday, offering flexibility to spend time with the people you care about.

As a Registered nurse working at ABC, you’ll work closely with the hands-on Unit Coordinators to develop your clinical and leadership skills and knowledge enabling you to grow. You will be passionate about what you do, provide quality care, and build relationships with the residents and their families.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide person-centred clinical care for residents in care homes across various levels of care.
Lead a team of caregivers to provide the highest quality clinical care.
Conduct medication rounds, manage care plans, and maintain accurate paperwork.
Stand up and tell us where we can invest more to ensure continuous quality improvement.

Skills and Qualifications

You’ll help us make a real difference through your RN experience, personal passion, and empathy.

Hold a current APC and NZ Nursing Council Registration.
Excellent clinical skills in adult care and ideal aged care experience.
Confident communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
A compassionate nurse who strives for excellence and to make an impact in residents’ lives.

ABC Care Home is in Kamo, Whangarei and has a friendly, supportive environment. The Care Home is a 66-bed facility, offering Rest Home, Hospital and Dementia level care allowing a wide scope to develop your skills.
