Join our team as a Service Manager and make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities, utilizing your management skills to create a supportive and inclusive environment while building strong relationships with both the individuals we support and their families.

Mō te tūnga | About the role

As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for creating a positive and inclusive team environment, building relationships with the individuals and their families, and ensuring that their individual needs and wants are met. While previous people management experience is preferable, having a background in the Health and Disability sector would be preferred but not essential. The most important qualifications are a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives, a can-do attitude, and a hands-on approach. Being resilient and adaptable to change is crucial for success in this role. As a Service Manager, you will report to the Area Manager and work closely with other Service Managers and a skilled Regional/National team. The organization values a supportive and collaborative work environment, which you will contribute to.

Passion for the services provided by ABC Services and the people supported. Relevant tertiary qualification. People management experience, including HR practices. Experience in delivering outcomes in a high-pressure and changing environment. Ability to develop a functional and positive team environment. Strong teamwork skills and a can-do attitude. Being open to travel as needed for the position, allowing for greater flexibility.

Tāima | Working Hours

It's important to note that due to the nature of the services provided, the position requires availability for the below hours with a base hour of 40 per week plus on call. Availability between Monday to Friday (6:30 am to 7:30 pm), weekends (6:30 am to 2:30 pm), and other core hours. On-call requirements on a rotational basis, covering 80 hours per fortnight.
