Join ABC, a well-known and highly regarded organization lead simulation technologies within a simulation assessment centre Greenfields role, coming in early to contribute to establishment of best practice ABC has been recently contracted to administer Clinical Examinations for internationally qualified nurses. As a result, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader, with technical competence to contribute to the set up and operationalization of a custom-designed simulation assessment centre.

ABC has been recently contracted by the New Zealand Nursing Council to administer Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs), as part of the registration process for internationally qualified nurses. As a result, we have a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced operational leader, with technical competence to join ABC on their journey, as they set up and operationalize a custom-designed simulation assessment centre.

What you will do: The Team Lead will play a critical role in the day-to-day operation of the simulation centre, leading a team of Simulation Technicians and Assessment Support Officers (Simulated Patients), and working proactively to train and advise staff, test and set up technical healthcare simulation equipment and systems to ensure continuous running of the service.

Key aspects of the role include:

Managing Simulation Technicians and Assessment Support Officers (simulated patients), offering leadership, direction and regular reviews
Workforce planning, support and development for direct reports
Providing expert technical assistance with installation, testing, operating and coordinating maintenance on simulation equipment and systems
Providing technical and systems training, guidance and advice to the wider team,
Overseeing the development of an equipment inventory database
Monitoring and training on the database system to ensure adequate infrastructure and stock levels to allow continuous delivery of service
Coordinating and operationalising advanced healthcare simulation scenarios based on OSCE technology
Co-creating and implementing procedures to support strategic goals
Coordinating technical support staff to optimise system performance, trouble shoot, prepare, test and run all OSCE's in the centre
Acting as the escalation point for technical issues,
Working as part of an interdisciplinary team

Skills and experience we are looking for: An ability to think creatively with a focus on continuous innovation Proven experience in people management and leadership Knowledge of the health sector Extensive experience working with simulation-based technologies, including manikins, simulation centre software and hardware solutions A proven ability to adhere to protocols, standards and guidelines Strong verbal and written communication skills Sound knowledge and experience with audio/visual equipment Experience and success working under pressure, while solving problems quickly The ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders The ability to learn quickly, independently review and master new programs and applications As well as joining a friendly and supportive team in this varied and rewarding role, you will enjoy a range of benefits including discounts on a range of wellbeing activities, discounted healthcare through Southern Cross, and ongoing professional development through study and research
