About the role

The ABC team in Clendon Park, Auckland are on the lookout for a superstar kaiako. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that is proud to lead a community-focused centre where tamariki are truly at the heart of all we do.

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, and ABC is a Full Pay Parity Partner. The role is situated in a secure, nurturing, and welcoming environment designed to encourage and nurture the innate curiosities of our tamariki.

Key responsibilities

Support planning, implementation, and evaluation of a learning program that is responsive to the strengths and interests of children
Promote learning opportunities that are inclusive, equitable, and culturally responsive
Document children's learning and take responsibility for children's profile books and e-portfolio

Skills and experience

You will be an outstanding, experienced teacher who is energized and excited about engaging with children. To undertake this role, you will have:

- Early childhood teaching qualification and current Education Council Practicing Certificate
- Experience working as a teacher in an early childhood education team setting
- The ability to use initiative and a commitment to quality practice standards and the principles of Te Whāriki
- Excellent communication, planning, and organization skills
- Enthusiasm and a strong desire to make a difference to children in their early years, while building strong links with their whānau and families.
