Within the ABC, we specialize in supporting both small and large industrial boilers, air heaters, and energy plants that power New Zealand's economy. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team and grow your skills as training is provided.

We have a position available due to growth for a reliable electrician with mechanical aptitude.

This role is centered in Wiri, Auckland with coverage from Waikato to Cape Reinga. You will be working in an independent, mobile, and highly flexible environment. Once you are signed off, you may be granted the privilege of starting from your home base. For this reason, we will consider someone based up to 1.5 hours from our Wiri base. Every day will be different and rewarding. Electrical registration would be an advantage as we have a wider scope for this across our North Island teams.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record and skills in any of the following areas:

- NZ EWRB Electrical registration
- Experience with boilers, gas fitting, and combustion equipment preferred, but not essential
- Electronic diagnostic experience in any field
- Confidence in making well-reasoned diagnostic decisions, with problem-solving skills being essential
- Good level of computer skills, as reporting is an essential part of every task and we are paper-free
- Experience supervising other staff or contract staff
- Ability to work away from home on regular occasions and be on an on-call roster

Essentials for the role:

- NZ citizen (current passport) or ability to hold or obtain a visa to work in NZ
- NZ driver's license - full
- Able to pass drug testing
- A positive attitude towards learning and problem-solving
- Strong teamwork skills
- Health and safety is an absolute priority
